Human Trafficking Awareness Training

Course Duration: approx. 2.5 hours

The Florida apartment industry cares deeply about the safety of its residents and the well-being of the communities it serves. Perhaps surprisingly, human trafficking often happens at an individual's place of residence, which may happen to be an apartment community. This is why, as housing providers for more than 3 million renters, we play a vital role in identifying and reporting suspected human trafficking.

During the FAA University Human Trafficking Awareness Training, you will learn about:

• Different forms of human trafficking,
• How to identify and report suspected trafficking at your apartment community, and
• Compliance best practices from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

In addition, you will also have the unique opportunity to hear from a brave human trafficking survivor who will share her perspective to reinforce why this training and human trafficking awareness are critically important for the apartment industry.
